MITAN (MEE-TUHN) MEANS CENTER.
Helping faith and nonprofit leaders get where they’re going.
We meet faith leaders and social mission-driven organizations between where they are and where they’re going, then help them get there.
For teams that need more grant capacity, we serve as their grant specialist: building the strategy, researching opportunities, writing and submitting applications, and training staff.

CLIENT FEEDBACK · MITAN CONSULTING
No one can ethically guarantee a grant award. Funding decisions rest with each funder and depend on their priorities, budgets, and competition. What we commit to is the work: through the Grant Partnership, we research, write, and submit up to $1 million in qualified applications, each matched to funders whose priorities align with your mission. Strong preparation, careful matching, and a committed leadership team give every application its best chance.
Professional ethics standards for grant writers prohibit commission-based pay, and most funders don’t allow grant dollars to pay for proposal writing. A flat fee protects your credibility with funders and keeps our focus on quality rather than award size. It also means you know your full investment up front, with milestone or monthly payment options available.
Yes. Many foundations, corporations, and public agencies fund faith-based organizations, especially for community programs like food access, housing, youth development, and family services. However, many require community programs to be run through a separate 501(c)(3) or kept distinct from worship activities. We identify which funders welcome faith-based applicants, explain what they require, and help you present your work in language that honors your mission and meets their criteria.
Applications often begin within 30 days. We start with strategic planning alongside your leadership team and a review of your documents, then build a prioritized calendar of opportunities. Timing depends on funder deadlines; some accept applications year-round, while others open only once or twice a year. Organizations with their core documents ready can often move faster.
That’s common, and there’s a clear path forward. A Funding Readiness Assessment identifies what you have, what’s missing, and how to close the gaps. Funding Navigator ($100 for 12 months) keeps you aware of opportunities while you prepare. Grant Training ($5,000 for up to 3 people) builds your team’s skills in-house. If your organization doesn’t yet have 501(c)(3) status, we can help you establish it.
